EYE EXAMS
Dr. Harrel places a strong emphasis on routine or wellness eye exams. A comprehensive eye exam covers a lot and plays a major role in your overall health, including checking for signs of diseases like diabetes and hypertension, as well as eye conditions such as glaucoma or cataracts. If signs of these conditions are found, our doctors of optometry make sure you have proper treatment available to you.
It is recommended that you should schedule an appointment once every two years to ensure your eyes are remaining healthy. If you have been diagnosed with an eye condition; however, I recommend scheduling an appointment once or twice a year depending on the severity of your condition.
During your appointment, we will review your patient history, visual acuity, perform preliminary tests, and evaluate your overall eye health.
CONTACT LENSES
If you’re considering getting contact lenses, one of the first things you’ll need to do is have a contact lens exam. This comprehensive eye exam will determine whether you’re an excellent contact candidate and your prescription.
LASIK
Are you looking to reduce your reliance on corrective eyewear? If so, LASIK might be the solution you’ve been searching for. LASIK, which stands for Laser Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis, offers a precise and effective alternative to glasses or contact lenses. It is a proven method for treating common refractive conditions like nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism.
At our practice, Dr. Harrel provides pre- and post-operative examinations for both LASIK and PRK procedures. If you’re interested in exploring whether you’re a suitable candidate for LASIK, we invite you to reach out to our office and schedule your examination today. Your journey to clearer vision is just a phone call away.
